Morgase and Co go to Gheladan, where Morgase wakes up and again
becomes a person we have so often heard about but never seen. She rallies
people against some injustice or danger (the Shaido?) and finally gets
some following. This somehowbrings her to Perrin`s attention (incognito)
and they join their forces. Morgase is instrumentalin defeating the
Whitecloaks and bringing Galad to Rand's side as well as in integration
of channelers in the fighting troops. She successfully commands a big
battle and becomes a general.
Logain also goes home to Gheladan, where he meets Perrin and
joins his troops. He knows female channelers much better than the Ashaman
and is the strongest among the men, so he takes command over Perrin's
channelers. For the first time in 3000 years he forces the female and
male channelers to fight together and they are able to defeat/slow the
Seanchan. In the future (but may be not in tPod) he becomes the first
modern male AS and the Tamyrlin.
Perrin has to hunt the Shaido, fight the Whitecloaks and
confront Masema. The Shaido and Whitecloaks are incorrigible and must be
anihilated. Masema doesn't relinquish his authority willingly and his
followers split between him and Perrin. Some villain (Isam, Semiragh?)
approaches Masema and dupes him into endangering Faile. Appearance of
Galad releives Perrin from Berelein's attention.Perrin has to leave his
troops to save Faile, but Logain, Morgase, Galad and Berelein hold them
together for him.
Sammael is alive and well and has taken the command (albeit quite
discretely) either of Corenne or of Hailene, or both. Ebu Dar was invaded
by Suroth's troops, but later the DoTNM also shows up there. Mat rescues
her from Sammael and whilst among the Seanchan he finds some clue about
the Tower of Genji and Morraine's fate. He (or Thom) meets Aludra and
are presented with matches. Mat gathers Thom and goes after
Morraine. Setalle Anan plays a big role in Mat's adventures in Ebu Dar.
It is revealed that she is a burnt out AS who was in the cohorts of Gitara
Moroso and Verin. Male a'dam is found and the Seanchan try to use it
against Rand.
Morraine is rescued by Mat and Thom, Lanfear escapes in confusion.
Thom becomes Morraine's Warder and together they find out how to root the
black Ajah among the rebels and make the captive TAS to swear fealty to
Rand. Morraine goes through the glass columns terangrial in Rhuidean to
learn how to link with a man. She becomes status of a WO among the Aeil
and uses it to knit the cluft between AS and WOs (together with Egwene).
Halima is unable to Compel Egwene (who is way too stubborn) and therfore
devises a nasty trap for her. Gawyn saves Egwene at the last momment but
Siuan Sanche and Gareth Bryne perish. Either Halima or Mesaana are killed
in the process (by Egwene?). Gawyn must decide between his duty
to Elayne and Egwene's need for him as Warder and general. When he learns
that his mother is alive and Galad a Whitecloak no longer he decides for
Egwene.
Nynaeve and Elayne go to Caemlyn but Demandred (whether Taim or
not we have seen Demandred visiting Caemlyn in T'AR) awaits them there.
Ashaman begin to succomb to maddness and split into DFs, true Ashaman and
madmen. It is revealed that most of the high-ranking Ashaman were
secretly tutored by Ishamael since Rand's birth. Taim is revealed as a DF
(or Demandred). Toveine's expidition is crashed, but Elayne manages to
save some of them and convince them to join Egwene, giving her the first
supporters among the Reds. Nynaeve discovers how a modified Warder bond
can prevent/postpone effects of the taint.
Rand learns about the maddness among the Ashaman and breaks the
Seals so that most of them would be sane enough to fight in the Tarmon
Gaidon. However, O'sangar is not idle. Alanna is killed and Rand goes
overboard with the Warder aftereffects. Bashere is killed.
