Alex and Ernie

These are my little ones, Alexander and Ernest. They are the light and joy of my life, and they keep me more than just a little bit busy. I'm quite fortunate, they are both healthy, bright and the very best of friends. Where you find one, you usually find the other -- they like to do everything together!

Alex was born early on a bright summer morning in June, 1992. From the very first, he was a busy and active child. I spent a lot of time *running* after him once he learned to walk, he has absolutely no fear! Alex idolizes Bill Nye, the Science Guy and Chris and Martin Kratt, the creators of "Kratt's Creatures". He tells me he wants to be a doctor when he grows up, and has even gone so far as to watch all of the surgery films at COSI and ask my doctor where he should go to medical school!

Ernie is also a morning baby, arriving bright and early in April, 1996. A little quieter than his big brother (but not much!), Ernie spends a lot of time just watching and considering. We used to worry that he would never talk, but we have since learned that he was just letting his big brother talk for him. He is stubborn and very opinionated! Ernie likes Sesame Street, particularly Elmo, and loves to dance about the house in his Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle underwear. He idolizes his big brother.
